McArthur's Oregon Geographic Names, an indispensable work, says the island was once legendary for its "'Blue Ruin' whiskey of pioneer days . . . it was a fluid of high voltage." The distillery is gone, and now it is home to a large number of Blue Heron rookeries."

ooooh, the first stupid comment. Well, the idea of "marrying" anyone or anything doesn't appeal to me. No need. So, no go on that idea. Secondly... probably too many sharp edges for me. Sorry. Give me a few years to see how the tram fits into the greater urban fabric and then we'll see.
