Urban form, for better or worse, as well as a few signs of the times. The bathroom graffiti, if you care, belongs to the Nightlight.

The huge "enjoy downtown while parking" sign never fails to get under my skin, partly because that parking garage is actually housed in the shell of an historic building that I would like to see renovated back into something other than parking (of course, we know that it is more profitable to charge people for parking than to maintain historic buildings), and partly because it is a reminder of the ugly reality of auto-dominance, even in the semi-mythical transit paradise of Portland.
